Findings / UX-002
The home page is 59 phone screens long, with 845 links
OpenHighFailurenewsroom.sgit.ai
What we saw
The phone home page measures 49,715 px: Latest, Highlights, desk notes, collections, the full article list, then a map of every article's links.
Why it matters
The front page tries to show everything, so it chooses nothing for the reader. Nobody scrolls 59 screens; the curation is invisible.
The fix
Cut the home page to the lead, three per desk, collections and the newsletter. Lists and the link map move to their own pages.
The record
| Status | Open |
| Severity | High |
| Kind | Failure: works against the reader |
| Product | newsroom.sgit.ai, site |
| Where | https://newsroom.sgit.ai/ |
| Problems | Overload |
| Visibility | Obvious: every reader sees it, every time they reach that point |
| Recommendation | Cut to the essential: remove or move down everything that is not the lead, the doors and the next step |
