Dictation that shows your words as you speak them
What it does
While you dictate, the Claude app writes the transcript into the message box as you speak, then refines it in a second pass when you stop. The first pass is rough, but it is immediate.
Why it works
Seeing your words appear is proof that they are being captured. It is the reason the reporter uses this input over others: as long as the text keeps appearing, they know the recording is safe, and they can keep their attention on what they are saying.
What it still does not do
When the live pass stalls (UX-063), the proof disappears with no explanation, and the second pass rewrites text without showing what changed (UX-062). The feedback is the right idea; it needs to cover the failure cases too.
