# Cards do not show reading time or format

Open · medium severity · gap · newsroom.sgit.ai

## What we saw

The median article is about 4,500 words and 25 of 66 are over 5,000, yet no card shows reading time or whether it is a field report, explainer, analysis or desk note.

## Why it matters

A reader with three minutes cannot tell a note from a 40-minute analysis before opening it.

## The fix

Reading time and a format label on every card, derived at build.
